These soil sampling kits are ideal because of thier simplicity. They are available with the 5/8" threaded, signature series, and quick connect connections, and each sampling kit includes one 3 1/4' regular auger, one 4' extension, and an 18' rubber-coated cross handle. 

If you want to auger into sand, mud, clay or hard pan, you may want to purchase cross handles, extensions, and auger heads separately – choosing the components that are right for your needs.
